Shaolin Training with Shi De Cheng
Shaolin Monk, Shi De Cheng, will once again be traveling to the US and will be teaching several seminars at Jade Forest Kung Fu & Tai Chi of Rockland. SIFU JEFFERY WRITES ARTICLES FOR "KUNG FU TAI CHI" MAGAZINE
In the January/February 2009 issue of Kung Fu Tai Chi magazine you'll find two articles written by Sifu Jeffery.

The first is "What's New in Dengfeng 2008". Sifu Jeffery has been traveling to Shaolin China since 2000. He has spent much time in the town of Dengfeng, which is the closest city to the famous Shaolin Temple. Sifu Jeffery highlights all that is "new" in Dengfeng, from kung fu schools to coffee shops.

The second article is titled "Shaolin Shi Ba Shi Jibengong". Jibengong is the basics of Shaolin kung fu training. This articles introduces you to the training and is filled with pictures of world famous Shaolin monk, Shi Decheng.

Lion Dance Practice
Lion Dance Practice will be held Monday evenings at 7:00, starting January 4th. All students are welcome to participate and join the team.

On Sunday, February 14th or 22nd, Jade Forest Rockland's Lion Dance Team will perform at local Chinese restaurants in celebration of Chinese New Year. A schedule of restaurants will be posted the last week of January. See photos of past Lion Dance events...

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR

Today, January 26, 2009 kicks off the Chinese Year of the Ox.

The Ox sign symbolizes prosperity through fortitude and hard work. 2009 will be a slow, but steady year, filled with traditions and values.

Jade Forest Rockland's LION DANCE TEAM was out celebrating the New Year on Sunday, February 1. The team stopped at local Chinese restaurants to spread good luck and prosperity.

Jade Forest welcomes newest member of the family
Sifu Jeffery and his wife Lori are pleased to announce the birth of Caden Paxton Jeffery.

Summer 2008

Jade Forest Rockland hosts world famous Shaolin Monk Shi De Cheng.
Sifu Jeffery was once again honored to host Shirfu Shi De Cheng from Sunday this past August. Shirfu taught 6 seminars ranging from introductory to advanced, in both Kung Fu and Tai Chi.

Spring 2008

Jade Forest students participate in Boston Kung Fu tournament.
Five students from the Rockland school participated in the Boston Kung Fu Tournament on May 12th. The students collectively won a total of 8 medals including 3 Gold Medals.
